Our Services

Individual and family counseling services

Are you are dealing with...
  • a challenging marriage
  • family issues
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • addictions
  • trauma
  • or other difficulties?
  • We can sympathize with your struggle. We recognize that everyone has problems, so we want to reassure you that you are not alone. We will do our best to help you in a loving, non-judgmental environment.

Our approach has several dimensions. First, an experienced counselor will help you discover the roots of the issues you are facing, learn to think in healthier ways, and employ practical tools. Then, if it makes sense for you, we will pair you with a mentor who will help you put into practice what you have learned and stay on track. If you are interested, we also offer special therapeutic prayer sessions and help you find a faith community that will encourage you in your daily life. If any of your needs are beyond the scope of the services we can offer, we will do our best to refer you to additional resources.

To make an appointment with a counselor, please use our self-serve appointment calendar or call 571-406-5902.

    Personal Development Seminars

We offer personal development seminars that address issues like...
  • how to have a healthy marriage
  • being a responsible man
  • conflict resolution and anger management
  • raising children and teens
  • suicide prevention
  • and others
  • If seminar attenders need further help, they can follow up with our counseling services.

We generally give priority to at-risk communities, such as low-income apartment complexes. These seminars help families thrive and reduce social problems.

The number of seminars we can do each year is limited. So, if you are interested in having us conduct a personal development seminar in your community, please contact us as soon as possible to get on our schedule.

Mentoring is one of the most effective ways to help people heal and grow. Both adults and young people benefit from mentoring. Our mentors are well-trained to provide solid counsel, walk with people through suffering, and encourage people to persevere and grow in the challenges that life often brings.

    Equipping Churches

Churches are in an excellent position to be key players in addressing the mental health crisis our society is facing. New Day Help Center is committed to partnering with churches to help them respond to this need. We do this by training church members to three different levels of certification. This is serious training that will equip church members to substantively minister to people with a wide variety of challenges of varying levels of severity. We also teach churches to create their own counseling ministries with which to reach out to the community.

    Faith Community/Government Coordination

There is considerable research showing the beneficial effects faith communities have on societies – especially lower-income segments of society. However, faith communities often feel that many people in their society are unaware of the beneficial services they have to offer. Frequently, local governments are the first line of defense for social problems. Yet, there is often a gap between current social needs and services the city government is able to provide. We help coordinate local governments and faith communities to match social needs with faith community services – and that benefits everyone.

If you are part of a local government or a local faith community, please contact us to find out more about how we can help facilitate this cooperation.
